Pricing Phases
Pricing phases allow you to create contracts with pricing that changes at predefined intervals (e.g., annually). This ensures that each phase has a consistent duration, making it ideal for multi-year contracts with phased price adjustments.
Example Use Case 1: Consider a three-year contract where the price per license changes each year:
Year 1: $20 per license per month
Year 2: $40 per license per month
Year 3: $60 per license per month
Example Use Case 2: Consider a three-year contract where the price per license AND the applied discount percentage changes each year:
Year 1: $20 per license per month, discount of 20%
Year 2: $40 per license per month, discount of 15%
Year 3: $60 per license per month, discount of 10%
This contract can be set up with three phases, each lasting one year, with a specific price for each phase.
Once the Subscription Associated with the Contract is Active:
For the first period, invoices are generated based on the price set in Phase 1
In the second period, billing shifts to the pricing set in Phase 2
In the third period, billing shifts to the pricing set in Phase 3
