How To: Setup a Sales Contract Approval

This guide provides a straightforward process for creating approval rules essential for contract management. By following the steps outlined, users can ensure that specific conditions, such as discounts, total contract value and others, are met before contract execution.

1. Click Settings > Contracts > "Approval Rules"

2. Click "Create Approval Rule" 

3. Inset your Approval Name

4. Click "Add Filter"

This will be the rule that must be approved before contract execution, options are:

  • ACV

  • TCV

  • Max % discount

  • Max $ discount

  • Contract Content Changed

  • Products

  • Product Prices

5. Select your Rule Information

In our case, we have a rule for:

  • Max % discount >= 15

6. Click "Add Approval Rule"

Contracts going forward that meet the criteria of this rule will now need to be approved before sending.
