How To: Create a Sales Contract Template

Before creating your first contract or agreement, you will need to establish a template. These generally serve as pre-formatted documents that contain the standard clauses and sections used in your contract. By using templates, you can quickly generate new contracts with all the necessary information.

1. Click Settings > Contracts > "+ Create a Template" 

You have two options when creating a template:

  • Create a template from scratch by clicking "+ Create Template"

  • Select an existing template to work off of

2. Use Existing Template

We will click the existing "Cloud Service Template" and work off this template 

3. Change the Sales Contract Template Name

4. Add Variables

  • Optional, to add variables: Click "Maple Variables"

  • Maple variables are used to insert variables that will populate from the contract, such as customer information and your company's information.

We will include the "Customer Address" variable in our contract by clicking on the document where we would like it placed and then selecting the desired variable.

After clicking, you can view your variable populated here.

5. Click "Create"

You now have a basic sales contract template created that you can reuse for your contracts.
